Large Dollar Return Item Notification

Large Dollar Return Item Notification – (LDRIN) are messages sent by Depository Institutions (DIs) that are returning an unpaid check for $2,500 or more to the Bank of First Deposit (BOFD). The message serves as a warning that the check is being returned unpaid. Using this FedLine Check service allows you to create, edit, send, view and receive Large Dollar Return Item Notifications.

This service also allows you to:

Import and export formatted LDRIN files.
View and print messages sent or received for various institutions.
Search for archived messages.
Create a copy of previously sent messages.
Send a cancellation notice for a previously sent message.
View a summary of messages for the current date.

Important Legal Note:

It is the responsibility of the Bank of First Deposit (or its agent) to access the LDRIN application and check the Message Maintenance tab for new messages. The originating DI (or its agent) has satisfied its legal responsibility when one of its representatives selects the Send button to transmit the message; this action is recorded when the sent message is simultaneously added to the Sent Large Dollar Return Items.
