User Access Roles

Permission to perform certain functions in the FedPayments Manager is based upon user access role. Because access to the FedPayments Manager is no longer restricted to specific physical FedLine terminals, you have the option to provide access to more members of your institution who require information regarding payment activity.

Your institution's End User Authorization Contact (EUAC) will direct the Federal Reserve to assign individual users to one of the following access roles:

Analyst

An individual assigned the user role of Analyst has the ability to view and print data belonging to the service unit to which he or she is assigned. This data includes incoming and outgoing messages as well as inquiries and reports. The Securities Analyst can view or print messages, but can take no other action with the data.

Note: Please determine if your institution performs transfer transactions offline for the Fedwire Securities Service and receives Securities reports through your existing DOS-based FedLine that is used for the Fedwire Funds Service. If so, in addition to the Fedwire Funds Service role, please select the "Analyst" role for the Fedwire Securities Service when you complete the necessary paperwork to request credentials for FedLine Advantage. This will allow you to continue to receive your Securities reports online when you convert to FedLine Advantage.

The only task a Transfer Specialist cannot perform is updating processing options (settings, verification, and e-mail notification). This task rquires the Supervisor access role.
